Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library in Angra do Heroísmo promotes mini-book illustration workshop
The Regional Directorate for Culture, through the Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive, promotes a Mini-book Illustration Workshop conducted by Ricardo Ávila and Catarina Dantas between July 17 and 20, from 10 AM to 12:30 PM.
This activity, aimed at young people aged between 10 and 16, is intended to give voice to a series of traditional stories collected at elderly institutions under "Play to Storytellers," a project promoted by the Library.
In this regard, participants will have a first contact with the stories shared by the elders and then, using a variety of material, make small illustrated books.
The workshop is limited to seven participants. Interested parties should contact Ricardo Ávila by telephone 295 401 000 or by email [email protected], to which they should send the registration form.
A native of Terceira Island, Ricardo Ávila is a narrator, reading mediator and actor. He holds a degree in Childhood Education from the University of the Azores and a Master's degree in theatre - specialisation in puppeteer from the University of Évora.
