The REDA platform - Open Digital Educational Resources was selected by the Directorate-General of Education as a digital educational resource platform of reference for all Portuguese schools. This is an initiative developed by the Regional Directorate for Education, under the administration of the Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture, in the context of the Prosucesso programme. 

Initially designed to serve as a source of resources for the educational community in the Azores, the platform already contains a wide range of digital contents, most of from users themselves, since its concept is based on the UGC principle (user-generated content). 

Additionally, this platform has managed to attract resources with a high level of quality, through the "Con(RE)curso REDA" initiative, which rewards the best digital educational resources, receiving applications from all over the country. 

At this particularly challenging time for the entire educational community, the Regional Secretariat for Education is pleased to note that a resource created in the Azores has been selected to contribute to the national effort in overcoming the difficulties posed by the suspension of classroom activities.
