The last session of the art project "Ratinhos de Biblioteca" on São Miguel was held on Friday. This initiative is promoted by the Regional Secretariat for Education and Training in the context of the activities developed under the Regional Reading Plan.

The project, which has received wide acceptance, was targeted at middle school students and took place from May 14 to 25 at Lagoa Basic Education School, Nordeste Basic Education and Secondary School, Povoação Basic Education and Secondary School, Maia Basic Education School, Rabo de Peixe Basic Education School, Ribeira Grande Basic Education School, Vila Franca do Campo Basic Education and Secondary School and Ponta Garça Basic Education School. This initiative comprised a total of 15 sessions.

In turn, the "Biblioturista" project, primarily addressed at junior high school students, was held between May 2 and 7. A total of 5 sessions were held at Antero de Quental Secondary School, Lagoa Secondary School, Laranjeiras Secondary School, Domingos Rebelo Secondary School and Ribeira Grande Secondary School.

A project targeted at elementary school students from São Miguel, "A padaria que suspira livros," is scheduled for the beginning of the next school year.
