Regional Secretary for Education promotes “One day at school” by visiting regional schools
The Regional Secretary for Education and Training announced on Thursday afternoon that she will visit Azorean schools in order to become better acquainted with the reality of regional schools, which share among them “common issues with a common base, but with specificities that are also important for the Regional Secretariat to know,” stated the Regional Secretary.
Cláudia Cardoso said that the idea is “to visit schools under the initiative “One day at school,” allowing direct contact with school realities that differ from school to school. “
The Regional Secretary announced this initiative after visiting “A Colmeia” School in the first of a series of visits to Azorean school establishments.
During this visit, Cláudia Cardoso wanted “to understand the complementary role played by private education with regard to the infrastructures of the regional education system.”
The Secretary for Education stressed that this school is “a successful experiment, with new premises, and it has been in operation since the beginning of this school year, complementing and integrating the regional education system.”
