This year, the Government of the Azores, through the Regional Directorate for Youth, will support 109 projects developed by 23 youth associations, representing a global investment over 122 thousand Euros.
After a report issued by the Assessment Commission that met in Ponta Delgada, the funds are intended to support projects developed by youth associations under the Incentive Scheme for Youth Associations (SIAJ).
For the first time this year, the Government will award an additional support, with a base value of 10 thousand Euros, for the operation costs of associations, including office supplies, communications, utility bills (electricity and water), equipment maintenance and hygiene.
The financial support, which is set at 132 thousand Euros, will provide associations with an opportunity to develop their annual plans in the cultural, recreational, social areas as well as in sports and training activities.
