The Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture and the National Education Council (CNE) will hold a meeting on Education and Autonomy in Angra do Heroísmo next Monday, July 3.
The initiative, which will take place from 2 PM, at the Paços da Junta Geral building aims to create a space for debate on the most outstanding issues of Education in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
The meeting will be attended by the Regional Secretary for Education and Culture, Avelino Meneses, and the President of the National Education Council, David Justino. It will also feature the participation of José Guilherme Reis Leite, Ana Maria Bettencourt, Fabíola Cardoso and Victor Rui Dores as guest speakers.
Reis Leite, former Regional Secretary for Education, will address the theme "Autonomy and regionalisation of education," while Ana Maria Bettencourt, former president of CNE, will talk about "Education paths in the Azores and inevitable changes."
In turn, Fabíola Cardoso, former Regional Director for Education, a position she has held twice, will address the theme "ProSucesso: the challenge of all" and Victor Rui Dores, who was once representative of the Azores at CNE, will address the theme "CNE: Confessions of a former adviser".
