Regional Secretary for Education and Culture restates that Capelas Basic Education School will be the next work to begin
The Regional Secretary for Education and Culture restated today that Capelas Basic Education School in the municipality of Ponta Delgada will be the next work the school park of the Azores to begin.
Questioned by journalists about the beginning of the works in that school, Avelino Meneses stated that "it is not possible" to say exactly. Nevertheless, he added that "the works might start in the transition from 2017 to 2018, if there are no constraints such as the submission of complaints from bidding companies or clarification requests from the Court of Auditors."
"If there are constraints, such as those I mentioned or any others, they may start latter," added the government official.
Avelino Meneses stated that the jury is concluding the preliminary report, which will be subject to prior hearing and then converted into a final report. In turn, the final report will the base document for the awarding and signing of the contract to be submitted to the Court of Auditors. This stage precedes the assignment and beginning of the works.
The School Board of Capelas Basic Education School and the local Parish Council have "exact" knowledge about the legal procedures in progress, assured the Regional Secretary.
