Regional Government launches public tender for intervention in Topo Port, São Jorge Island
The Regional Secretariat for the Sea, Science and Technology, through the Regional Directorate for Fisheries, published today the opening notice of the public tender for the contract work to improve Topo Port on the island of São Jorge in the Official Gazette.
This intervention, with a base price of 5.2 million Euros, will substantially improve the safety and operational conditions of this port infrastructure through the construction of a jetty that will be about 60 metres long and a mooring berth 40 metres long.
With the planned works, this port will have an area of 1,200 square metres of land, paved with concrete slabs, and a slipway of about 7.5 meters long, guaranteeing better working conditions for fishing professionals and businesspeople engaged in maritime activities.
The improvement works of Topo Port are the result of a commitment taken by the Regional Government.
