The researchers of the Azores Scientific and Technological System as well as those working at Regional Science Centre may apply until September 15 to support for the organisation of scientific meetings in the archipelago this year.

In this regard, the government official stated that scientific meetings are, "often, the starting point for the establishment of new partnerships between researchers who can project the visibility of the Azores in the context of international research."
Gui Menezes also stressed the importance of scientific meetings to "promote the creation of consortia among researchers for the preparation and submission of projects to national and international tenders."
