Regional Government promotes workshop on responsible research and innovation in fisheries and aquaculture
The Regional Secretariat for the Sea, Science and Technology, through the Regional Science and Technology Fund, promotes the workshop "Responsible Research and Innovation - opportunities and synergies between aquaculture and fisheries in the Azores."
Held under the European project designated as MARINA, this initiative is funded by the Horizon 2020 Programme and falls within the field of "blue growth." It aims to stimulate the debate among players towards the discussion of a joint action on the needs and opportunities to improve efficiency and the sustainable use of oceans. This strategy should take into account the principles of responsible research and innovation.
The sharing of perspectives and the collection of opinions with the aim of identifying barriers and searching for joint proposals in fisheries and aquaculture are two of the main goals of this event.
With this initiative, the Government of the Azores intends to promote direct interaction between researchers, civil society organisations, citizens, financing entities and decision-makers.
This event will take place at Teatro Micaelense between 9 AM and 5 PM. Those interested in participating in the workshop should fill in the registration form available at the address https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfr8flsfh_nDLJgGIZPiZuVrL060X8tdi066siloG9egrCKHg/viewform?c=0&w=1.
