Government highlights importance of SATA Rally Azores as means of promoting the Azores
The Regional Secretary of the Presidency and the Regional Secretary for the Economy welcomed the members of the College of Commissioner of the International Automobile Federation (IAF) at an audience to exchange compliments.
Following this audience held at the Conceição Palace on Thursday morning, André Bradford stressed that the Government had the opportunity to convey to the IAF officials and the IRC organisation “the importance of the SATA Rally Azores as a means of promoting the Region and its positioning in the external tourism markets.”
For the Secretary of the Presidency, the SATA Rally Azores is a strong contribution to “the recognition the regional sports calendar” because “it qualifies the Azores and the television broadcast of the event draws attention to our existence and to the specific features of the Azores as a tourist destination of excellence.”
André Bradford also stressed that the SATA Rally Azores is as event of great relevance which, despite some budget constraints, “continues to be an investment as the Government believes that it is especially important at a time when we must strengthen the attractiveness of the Azores as a tourist destination.”
