Clarification from the Regional Health Authority

The Regional Health Authority clarifies that the two former inmates who tested positive for COVID-19 left the Angra do Heroísmo Prison Establishment and headed directly to Lajes Airport with destination to Ponta Delgada.

Upon arrival at Ponta Delgada Airport, they went directly to the hotel unit in a vehicle designated for that purpose, where they were tested and remain, since then, in mandatory confinement.

This was the only route taken by these two former inmates from the moment they left the Angra do Heroísmo Prison Establishment until the moment they were confined in the said hotel unit.
