Regional Government presents computer platform to streamline procedures under the Regional Integrated Continuing Care Network
The Regional Director for Health stated in Angra do Heroísmo that the creation of a single computer platform for the Regional Integrated Continuing Care Network (RRCCI) provides faster responses in the management of patient admissions and discharges.
"The platform will be accessible to all teams that make up the Integrated Continuing Care Network, including discharge management teams, local coordination teams and the regional coordination team," said Tiago Lopes.
The Regional Director spoke on the sidelines of the presentation of this platform to local coordination and discharge management teams from Terceira Island. According to him, this application is the result of a partnership between the Regional Secretariats for Health and Social Solidarity, being developed during 2018.
Besides streamlining processes, the RRCCI computer platform will allow teams to follow users, improve communication, standardise procedures, manage vacancies and produce statistical data.
It is a secure tool regarding data protection as the files do not contain nominal data, only a code per user.
The Regional Director for Health stated that its implementation will go through a test period so that teams may contribute to its improvement.
At the same time, Tiago Lopes pointed out that regulations will be drawn up to standardise procedures between the different teams within the Network.
Considering the current knowledge on demand and supply of vacancies and the estimation of possible future needs, the Regional Director emphasised that "the entire assessment of vacancies and human resources allocated to the network is a process that we are streamlining with different teams and that is being properly evaluated."
In this context, Tiago Lopes stated that all measures implemented are aimed at improving the response to the needs of the Azorean population.
