The Azores Regional Civil Protection and Fire Service (SRPCBA) holds a conference entitled “Historical perspective of SRPCBA” in Angra do Heroísmo on February 11.
This conference features speeches by the former President of the Legislative Assembly, Álvaro Monjardino, the President of the Azores Fire Federation, Manuel Soares, and the former Vice-President of SRPCBA, Ricardo Barros. It will be moderated by the President of the Azores Regional Civil Protection and Fire Service, Carlos Neves.
This is the first of a series of events that the SRPCBA will hold throughout this year as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.
This conference, in particular, aims to recall the SRPCBA's history, its evolution and the role of Civil Protection in implementing a culture of prevention and awareness in the archipelago of the Azores, a region prone to extreme phenomena.
The initiative takes place at the Luís da Silva Ribeiro Public Library and Regional Archive in Angra do Heroísmo, starting at 9:30 am; admission is free.
Participation requires prior registration, which must be made until Friday, February 7, at the email [email protected].
