Haemodialysis Unit of Madalena Health Centre to open soon, announces Teresa Machado Luciano
The Regional Secretary for Health announced today on Pico Island that the Haemodialysis Unit of Madalena Health Centre will open soon, noting that "user safety comes first."
"The Infrastructures and equipment, a Regional Government's commitment to the creation of this unit, are ready to start working. However, we are waiting for the results of the water quality analysis to be completed in order to ensure, first and foremost, the safety of health users," stated Teresa Machado Luciano.
The Regional Secretary spoke at the end of a meeting with the Administration Board of Pico Island Health Unit (USI), where she praised the fact that all users have a family doctor.
Teresa Machado Luciano considered that the meeting with the Administration Board of USI was "very productive," and for that reason there will be meetings on a regular basis so as to closely follow this health service.
"We are going to work for the benefit of Pico health users with the aim of improving other matters that will ensure proper conditions in the area of health on this island," stated the Regional Secretary.
