Regional Government provides online questionnaire to facilitate passengers' arrival in the Region

The Regional Secretariat for Health provides an online risk assessment questionnaire for people wishing to travel to the Autonomous Region of the Azores, which aims to facilitate and speed up their arrival in the archipelago.

Passengers must complete the questionnaire from the Regional Health Authority, available on the website https://destinoseguro.azores.gov.pt/ and also distributed by airlines, within 72 hours before departure.

The information collected in the questionnaire, which is intended for risk assessment and early screening, is automatically integrated into the COVID-19 platform, making the administrative process for the reception of passengers easier and faster.

Furthermore, when passengers fill in the questionnaire, the risk of errors in the registration of information, such as contacts, is minimised and will allow them to be easily contacted with the results of the screening test.

In order to speed up the entry of passengers in the Region, additional developments were made to the COVID-19 information system, such as the automatic creation of the request for the 6th day test and the production of reports on the announcement of results for the monitoring and correction of possible errors.

The Regional Government has followed a strategy intended to enhance improve and facilitate the entry of passengers in the Region, expanding the network of screening laboratories for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus before boarding and conducting a new screening test on the 6th day. Moreover, it has reinforced teams and systems to support the sample collection process, laboratory testing and announcement of test results.
