First phase of the competition for the acquisition of housing in Maia benefited mostly young families
Of the total applications approved in the first phase of the competition for the acquisition of controlled-cost housing in the São Pedro Allotment in the village of Maia, 87% are young households. Nearly 50% of these households have one or two children.
One should remind that a public ceremony took place on Monday in the village of Maia where 32 3-bedroom houses were allocated under this competition.
The future S. Pedro Allotment will comprise a total of 52 houses.
On the occasion, Carlos Faias stressed the importance of these investments for the village of Maia, which have allowed the establishment of families in their place of origin.
The Azorean Government is also pleased with the private initiative that invested in the real estate promotion of this undertaking, which is of the responsibility of the Consortium formed by the companies Construções Couto & Couto, Lda. and Simosil – Comércio, Indústria e Equipamentos de Construção Civil, Lda.
