The Social Security services in Angra do Heroísmo and Ponta Delgada will be open until 6 PM, starting on Tuesday, to provide assistance to the tests for determination of resource eligibility and password requests via Internet.
With the entry into force of Decree-Law no.70/2010 of June 16, new access rules to social benefits of the Social Security were introduced. Under this law, the carrying out of a test for determination of resource eligibility on the information regarding the household composition and respective income became compulsory by imposition of the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity. These tests can only carried out through the Direct Social Security via Internet.
Taking into account the technical difficulties experienced in the access to the Internet portal of the Social Security services on the last days, the tests, whose deadline expired on October 31, may be carried out beyond that date.
Moreover, the toll-free line 808 200 230 will be available, starting on Tuesday, to provide support to the carrying out of the tests.
One should remind that all people who require assistance in filling out the information concerning the tests for determination of resource eligibility are being monitored by workers from the Social Security services through 100 attendance posts, spread across the nine Azorean islands. In addition, 65 attendance posts are also available at RIAC (Integrated Network for Citizen Support) where it is also possible to carry out the aforementioned tests, which corresponds to a total of 165 attendance posts in the Azores to assist families.
