Tender for adaptation of building to install Free Time Activity Centre on Santa Maria Island published in the Official Journal
The public tender for the adaptation of a building for the installation of the Santa Maria Free Time Activity Centre run by the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Vila do Porto was published in the Official Journal.
Financed by the Regional Government, through the Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, the work has a base price of 377,284.85 euros, plus VAT at the legal rate in force, and a completion period of 360 days.
This intervention took into account the necessary adaptations to the existing physical constraints as well as the spaces required for the proper functioning of the building to be adapted, resulting in a spatial and functional development with capacity for 55 children.
This adaptation encompasses an intervention that not only responds to spatial and functional requirements, considering the applicable legislation and regulations, but also ensures the fundamental safety conditions of the building.
The need for space and versatility is one of the concerns addressed, specifically regarding the adequacy of spaces to the frequency and use by users with special needs. Therefore, the solutions adopted must provide the maximum adaptability and flexibility of spaces.
With this initiative, the Regional Government reinforces the existing infrastructures for childhood and improves the territorial coverage of social responses in the Region.
