Paula Cristina Pereira de Azevedo Pamplona Ramos was born in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo and graduated in Law at the University of Coimbra.
In July 1999, she completed a Postgraduate Course in "Regional Law," taught by the University of the Azores under the Protocol between this University and the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. She completed a Postgraduate Degree in Labour Law in 2004, taught by the University of the Azores under the Protocol between this University and the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. In 2008, she completed a Postgraduate Course in "Local Authorities and Urban Planning Law," taught by the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto.
She is a Master's student in Law - Legal and Administrative Sciences, taught by the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto.
Paula Cristina Pereira de Azevedo Pamplona Ramos has previously served as Regional Director for Solidarity and Social Security (2010/2011). She took up the position of vice-president of the City Council of Praia da Vitória, being responsible for the areas of social solidarity, housing, urban planning and natural resources, between October 23, 2013 and October 23, 2017. From that date until her appointment as President of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Social Security of the Azores, she was a member of Praia da Vitória Municipal Assembly.
As representative of the Municipality of Praia da Vitória, she has served as President of the Administration Board of Praia Ambiente Municipal Company and as President of the Administration Board of the Municipal Environmental Management and Improvement Company - TERAMB.
