The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, through the Azores Commissioner's Office for Childhood, promotes a seminar under the theme "Family conflict, rupture and alienation" on November 20. The initiatives marks the 28th anniversary of the Convention on Children's Rights.
The initiative counts on the participation of several professionals of recognised merit in the areas of Law and Family Intervention, who will analyse the impact of family dynamics on children and young people.
The topics to be addressed in this seminar concern the new Civil Guardianship Proceedings, the hearing of children and their representatives, parental alienation as a form of domestic violence or the right of children to have close ties with both parents - the Family Reunion Point (PEF).
This meeting aims to provide different agents working with children and youth in the Region with an opportunity to learn about the best framework to safeguard children's rights in light of different technical approaches.
The works will take place in the Auditorium of the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory in Ponta Delgada, starting at 9 AM.
