Over 288 thousand Euros is the total amount allocated by the Regional Secretariat for Labour and Social Solidarity to several regional entities on the islands of São Miguel, Faial and Terceira.

These funds, granted by Ordinance, will benefit various entities, including the “Santas Casas da Misericórdia” of Ribeira Grande and Vila Franca do Campo, ACAPO – Portuguese Association for the Blind and Partially Sighted, the São Bartolomeu de Regatos Social and Parish Centre, Jaçor – Azorean Youth, Crescer em Confiança Association, the Association for the Deaf - São Miguel, São Pedro Social and Cultural Centre in Lagoa, the Association of Parents and Friends of the Disabled - Faial, the São João de Deus Association – São Miguel, the Christian Youth Association, the “Casa do Povo” of Raminho, the Cáritas Association -Terceira, the “Obra do Padre Américo nos Açores – Casa do Gaiato” – São Miguel, and the “Casa do Povo” of Fontinhas.

The allocated support is intended to subsidise the construction works of nurseries as well as the expansion works of free time occupation centres.
