The Government of the Azores will improve the housing conditions of eight households on the island of Graciosa, under the programmes for the renewal of degraded housing.
An investment over 115,000 Euros, the new support measured were allocated today by the Regional Secretary for Labour and Social Solidarity, Ana Paula Marques, on the island of Graciosa, where the Government's statutory visit is taking place.
According to the government official, another 107 families from Graciosa have been supported under the programme for the renewal of degraded housing.
By establishing partnerships with local authorities, the Regional signed an ARAAL contract with the Santa Cruz da Graciosa City Hall in the amount of 600 thousand Euros for the renewal works of 30 houses, of which 12 have been completed and 6 are ongoing.
Ana Paula Marques emphasised the importance of housing policies under the programme for the renewal of housing carried out by the Azorean Government with the purpose of assuring the welfare of Azorean families, contributing to improve their housing conditions, supporting the feasibility of the construction sector and maintaining jobs.
