Government of the Azores available to support Bernardo Manuel Silveira Estrela Shelter and Social Support Centre
The Regional Social Solidarity Secretary expressed today the Regional Government's willingness to collaborate with the Shelter and Social Support Centre (C.A.S.A) in "the quick return to normality," following the destruction caused by the fire that occurred last Tuesday in the rooms where the Youth Inclusion and Development Centre was operating.
"This centre is a long-standing partner of the Azorean Government," stressed Andreia Cardoso. According to her, the Azorean Government "has followed the process from the start and, together with the institution, has been searching for a solution towards the repair of the damages caused by accident and the prompt resumption of the centre's activities."
The Bernardo Manuel Silveira Estrela Shelter and Social Support Centre is a private social solidarity institution based in the municipality of Ribeira Grande on the island of São Miguel. It provides, in partnership with the Azorean Government, different services in the area of Childhood and Youth that cover nearly two hundred children and young people in that municipality.
