Legislation stipulating default value and discounts on nanny service fees published today
The ordinance no. 5/2016, which extends to nanny services the discounts applicable on the monthly fees for daycare and kindergartens covered by cooperation agreements with the Social Security, was published today in the Official Journal.
Similarly to the measure in force for daycare and kindergartens, the legal document determines that families who have two children at the care of a nanny will benefit, each of them, from a 30 percent discount in monthly fees.
Moreover, families with three or more children in similar conditions will benefit from a 50 percent discount in monthly fees.
The discounts now stipulated by this ordinance are not conditioned by attendance at the services provided by different institutions. Families are solely required to submit a document certifying the attendance of children, which should be issued by the respective institution.
The changes introduced aim to ensure the fair treatment of children covered by different social responses and, simultaneously, ensure the budget balance of Azorean families.
The Official Journal also published today the Legislative Order no.7/2016 stipulating the terms and the amounts that define the amounts to be paid to institutions for the serviced provided by nannies under the costumer value - cooperation agreements that were signed under the Regional Social Welfare Code.
The default value for this response was set at 296.68 Euros, with the possibility of an increase of about 12.5% in the case of nannies caring for children with disabilities.
Furthermore, it also provides an increase of 60 Euros per month and per child if the service includes a meal and an increase of 15 Euros if it includes a supplementary meal.
