The Regional Secretariat for Labour and Social Solidarity, through the Azores Institute for Social Development(IDSA), promotes the Meeting of the Commissions for the Protection of Children and Youth at the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory next Thursday, July 12, at 9:30 AM.

The official opening ceremony scheduled for 10 AM was presided over by Ana Paula Marques, Regional Secretary for Labour and Social Solidarity. The event will be also attended by Paula Ramos, President of IDSA and representative of the Regional Government in the National Protection Commission for Children and Youth at Risk, and Armando Leandro, President of the National Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth at Risk.

During the meeting, Ricardo Carvalho, Executive Secretary of the National Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth, will present the annual activity report of the Protection Commissions of the Autonomous Region of the Azores in 2011. The comments to the report will be made by Joana Marques Vidal, Deputy General Prosecutor and coordinator for the area of Family and Children in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

The works end at 5 PM after a debate between the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youngsters of the archipelago and the National Commission for the Protection of Children and Youngsters at Risk.
