The Centre for Prevention Initiatives and Combat to Domestic Violence of "Santa Casa da Misericórdia" of Praia da Vitória has signed a cooperation protocol with the Regional Directorate for Social Solidarity to promote the fourth edition of the Regional Campaign to Prevent Dating Violence. This year's edition will be held under the theme "Viagem pelo Amor Saudável" (Travelling through Healthy Love).

The campaign will runs throughout the month of February in the context of the celebrations of Valentine's Day. This initiative covers all islands through the Network of Local Centres to Prevent and Combat Domestic Violence.

Under this initiative, the Centre for Prevention Initiatives and Combat to Domestic Violence is promoting several activities target at children, youngsters, technicians and the elderly in order to promote healthy relationships and prevent violent romantic relationships.

In this context, several support materials were created, including a Travel Guide for Healthy Love Relationships (folder), an individual guide for meals with hobbies (travel tips) which will distributed at restaurants, paper flowers containing messages, cookies with messages and napkin rings.

This campaign falls within the public policies designed to prevent and combat domestic violence in the Azores.
