Regional Government attentive and available to reinforce and complement support measures for managing partners of micro-enterprises
The Regional Secretary for Social Solidarity stated at the Legislative Assembly that the Regional Government is attentive to the needs of micro-enterprises and available to reinforce and complement the support measures for the managing partners of companies with less than 10 workers.
Andreia Cardoso, who spoke by video conference, stated that, besides the temporary exemption from the payment of Social Security contributions. According to her, “it is essential to ensure social support for the significant number of managing partners of these companies, who play a very important role in our economy."
In this context, the Secretary for Social Solidarity welcomed the announcement made this morning by the Prime Minister, regarding the extension of the measures adopted at national level that will now include specific support for members of the statutory bodies of micro-enterprises.
In the case of micro-enterprises without employees, the Institute for Social Security of the Azores has already received 116 applications for the granting of aid due to reduced activity.
"The Region has also adopted a series of complementary measures to support individual entrepreneurs, anticipate liquidity for companies in the month of April and implement an employment maintenance programme, which, in this case, includes the managing partners of these micro-enterprises," stressed Andreia Cardoso.
