The Regional Secretary for Social Solidarity stated today in Ponta Delgada that the new Temporary Shelter Centre, a space that will be shared by Caritas of São Miguel and the Novo Dia Association, is "the greatest work in the area of Social Solidarity by the end the current legislative period."

The Regional Secretary praised the work developed in partnership by the two institutions involved that has led to the sharing of this space, adding that the tender for the contract work will be launched in August.
"Our priority is to ensure that these users may benefit from a solution towards the acquisition of permanent housing as soon as possible and within coordinated approach that is tailored to their individual needs," said Andreia Cardoso.
