The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity has made available a list of public and private institutions providing initiatives and social responses aimed at the population of the Autonomous Region of the Azores at https://covid19.azores.gov.pt/.
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, several institutions have been presenting initiatives and social responses to the population during this atypical situation, searching for solutions that respond to their needs while safeguarding the guidelines issued by the Regional Health Authority.
Accordingly, the Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity considers that the congregation of all these initiatives and social responses in a single document is extremely important, so that all people can access this information as quickly, simply and effectively as possible with a view to mitigating or solving their problems.
The document now available contains the initiatives promoted by Municipal Councils, Parish Councils and Private Social Solidarity Institutions, ranging from the purchase and delivery of groceries and medication, takeaway services, payment of bills, clarification of doubts and provision of psycho-emotional support, among other responses.
Highlighting the meritorious work of the various entities mentioned in the document, the Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity makes this resource available to the population with the aim of improving their quality of life and, thus, facilitating access to the existing social responses and initiatives throughout the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
