Regional Government wants to foster adoption of good practices on gender equality
The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, through the Regional Directorate for Social Solidarity, in partnership with ACEESA Association - Centre for Solidarity Economy Studies of the Atlantic is promoting information and training sessions to provide organisations and individuals with the methodologies and tools that foster the adoption of publicly recognised good practices on gender equality.
The initiative, taking place on the island of São Miguel, is addressed at private companies, business associations, unions, local authorities, public entities, NGOs, Private Social Solidarity Institutions, vocational training schools and the public in general.
The project is intended to disseminate good practices on gender equality to entities that regard investment in this area as a strategic option, which brings competitive advantages in terms of management policies; the latter play an increasingly important role in sustainable development policies, based on a perspective that combines an organisational, competitive and modern citizenship and the principles of solidarity economy.
This initiative is part of the Bonum Pratices in Gender Aequalitas Project (Good Practices in Gender Equality) and involves the participation of the Regional Commission for Equality at Labour and Employment (CRITE), the Commission for Equality at Labour and Employment (CITE) and QI - Questão de Igualdade Association, through the REDE RSO.PT (National Network of Social Responsibility).
