The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, through the Regional Directorate for Housing, has awarded two contract works for the renovation, rehabilitation and construction of four dwellings that make up the housing stock of S. Miguel, following direct adjustment procedures with regional companies.

One contract work concerns the rehabilitation of two dwellings located in the municipality of Ponta Delgada, while the other concerns the construction of two dwellings in the municipality of Vila Franca do Campo.

Included in Regional Public Works Charter (CROP), these contact works represent a public investment of around 185 thousand Euros.

The Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity has also sent invitations to regional construction companies for the construction and rehabilitation works of three houses in the municipality of Ponta Delgada. The latter are also included in the CROP and represent a global investment of over 215 thousand Euros.

These initiatives fall within the Regional Government's goal to provide Azorean families with better housing conditions and contribute to the revitalisation of the regional construction sector in the Azores, through the investment in the redevelopment and preservation of the Region's housing stock.
