The ongoing repair and renewal works of social housing in the Azores, as scheduled in the Regional Public Works Charter, comprise 46 houses and represent an investment of 286 thousand Euros that will benefit 154 people.
These contracts works fall under the urban renewal of the regional housing heritage and will improve the living conditions of 46 families. The works are estimated to be completed by the end of this year.
Coordinated by the Society for the Promotion and Renewal of Housing and Infrastructures (SPRHI), the works in progress are being carried out by small regional and local construction companies.
These contract works contribute to the implementation of the urban renewal strategy the Regional Government intends to consolidate in the current legislative period with the aim of improving housing conditions, boosting local economy and promoting a better quality of life in the archipelago.
