The Regional Directorate for Public Works and Communications (DROPC) has the mission of coordinating and developing actions leading to the implementation of regional policies for public works, public buildings and infrastructures, road infrastructures, communications, information systems and technologies.

Within the scope of Public Works, our main guidelines focus on the qualification of public infrastructures, especially regarding the safety, accessibility, and mobility of the Azorean population, as well as on the sustainability of the construction sector.

In the area of Communications, our strategy is based on the rationalisation and efficiency of Information Technologies in the Azores Regional Public Administration, including the management of technological infrastructures, communications and information systems.
