The Regional Secretariat for Transport and Public Works, through the Regional Directorate for Public Works and Communications, joins the Child Support Institute - Azores in organisation of the event "We were all once ... in search of lost eggs" to be held today and Friday at 21st Century Park. This activity falls within the protocol signed with a view to the revitalisation of this space in the city of Ponta Delgada.
The initiative aims to highlight the importance of the Right to Play in the development and growth of children, through participation in games and recreational activities, being in line with what has been agreed by the States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Additionally, it will also provide recreational and playful moments for children and their families.
Exploring the imaginary of fables and children's tales, the 21st Century Park will be a scenario of track games oriented to instil certain values in an educational manner in youngsters, through fun and play.
The first day of this initiative will be reserved for groups of children attending Free Time Occupation Centres, while the second will be for children and families wishing to visit the 21st Century Park; activities will be held from 10 AM to 1 Pm and from 2 to 5:30 PM.
