The Regional Directorate for Transport contributes to the definition and implementation of regional policies in the area of air, maritime and inland transport. This entity is also responsible for strengthening the potential of these policies and respective infrastructures in order to boost the competitiveness of Azorean economy, improve the accessibility of people and goods as well as to reinforce regional cohesion.

We are a body that implements policies with the aim of improving the effectiveness and competitiveness of the regional transport system in terms of frequency service and pricing, thus contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of the Azorean population and the competitiveness of regional companies.
