"Mediterranean Parrotfish filet with Azorean squid tagliatelle," "Fava bean flan with chorizo powder" and "Marinated canned tuna with mashed yams and S. Jorge cheese" were some of the dishes that won the public at the 7th edition of "Lisbon Fish &Flavours" that is taking place at Pátio da Galé until April 13.
The dishes created and prepared by chef Sandro and Meireles and the students from Ponta Delgada Tourism and Hotel School had as main ingredients the Azorean fresh fish and the products manufactured by Santa Catarina, Corretora and Cofaco canneries.
On Sunday, the day dedicated to Azorean fish through a partnership developed between Lotaçor and Docapesca, various institutional and business contacts were developed at the event, which also included cooking demonstrations the tasting of regional products. Both activities exceeded the expectations of the organisation.
This day ended with a cooking class taught by Chef Igor Martin, who used Azorean tuna in his dishes, followed by a tasting of the dishes prepared.
The participation of the Azores in Portugal's largest seafood event with international projection falls within the strategy developed by the Azorean Government to promote and fresh and processed fished.
