Azores to host Red Bull Cliff Diving competition phase for the third consecutive year, announced Vítor Fraga
The Regional Secretary for Tourism and Transport announced on Friday that the Azores will host one of the competition phases of Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series.
"This is a world-renowned event, which fits perfectly into the goals we intend to achieve with the organisation of these events." In fact, we have been able to "associate the excellence of our destination to the visibility of a brand such as Red Bill," stated Vítor Fraga, who spoke at the Azores Stand in the Lisbon Tourism market (BTL).
The competition will take place on July 26. According to the Regional Secretariat, this event represents a "perfect symbiosis" as it will further project the Region abroad and bring the economic return we desire, both for the Region and for those who are directly and indirectly involved in it."
Held for the third consecutive year, this competition phase of Red Bull Cliff Diving is also "an investment of the Azorean Government in the continuation of these events," which consolidates the organisation of these initiatives and allows taking advantage from them.
In addition to Red Bull Cliff Diving, the Regional Secretary reminded that this year the Azores will host SATA Rallye Açores, two World Windsurf competition events, Azores Ultra Trail, World Surf Championship and Eurosurf. In this context, the government official urged all private sector partners "to include all these events sponsored by the Region in their activities" so that may "use them to increase tourism flows to the Azores."
