Last month has seen a drop in fuel sale prices in the European market, which serves as reference for the definition of prices in the Azores, corresponding to the average retail prices in 14 European countries.
Accordingly, there will be a decrease of 10.6 cents per litre in the price of 95 octane petrol, a decrease of 8.6 cents in the maximum sale price of road diesel, dyed and marked diesel for agriculture and fisheries, and a decrease of 14.8 cents in the maximum sale price of industrial fuel oil.
This price variation is exactly the same as that resulting from the price variation registered in Europe in the previous month and the variation in the cost of raw materials.
The tax incidence in the Azores is 11% lower than that in Mainland Portugal for 95 octane petrol, 23% for road diesel, 71% for dyed and marked diesel used in agriculture and fisheries, 46% for butane gas and 57% for industrial fuel oil.
In the context of this update, the price per litre will be set at 1.288 Euros for 95 octane petrol and 1.121 Euros for road diesel, while agricultural diesel will cost 0.639 Euros per litre and fishing diesel will cost 0.449 euros per litre.
Industrial fuel oil will cost 0.302 Euros per kilo.
The new prices will come into force from 12 am of Friday, May 1.
