The Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology and Infrastructures has opened an application for support to the purchase of equipment and software in the field of information and communication technologies, being addressed for institutions with infrastructures to support citizens with disabilities.

The application, open until March 25, aims to provide the entities supporting citizens with disabilities or with special education need with assistive technologies that promote their educational, social and professional integration.

With this measure, the Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology and Infrastructures also intends to improve the quality of the services rendered in the support to these citizens.

Private non-profit associations whose statutory and constituent goals comprise the provision of support to citizens with disabilities or special educational needs as well as public and private school establishments are eligible to benefit from these support measures.

Beneficiaries must be headquartered in the Autonomous Region of the Azores and registered in the Regional Scientific and Technological System.
