The Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology and Infrastructures has launched a public call for tenders for the submission of applications to support the organisation of conferences, meetings, seminars and other scientific events in the Azores. The application period takes place until March 7, 2011.

With the implementation of this measure, the Regional Secretariat for Science, Technology and Infrastructures intends to promote the dissemination of the results scientific research as well as the contact between experts from different scientific institutions and regions, hence contributing to the exchange of knowledge.

The Regional Secretariat stresses that this is another step to project the Autonomous Region of the Azores in the context of the European Research Space, while simultaneously promoting conference tourism in the Region.
