The Government of the Azores, through the Regional Secretariats for Social Solidarity and for Tourism and Transport, has provided means on the field to support the families affected by the landslide that occurred on the slopes of São Miguel Arcanjo, Pico Island. Five families living in the affected area had to be relocated.

These families are housed at the premises of the São Roque do Pico Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters; meals are being provided by São Roque do Pico Town Hall and by the local "Santa Casa da Misericórdia."

According to the Services of the Regional Secretariat for Social Solidarity, the families affected by the landslide will be temporarily housed with relatives or at rented houses.
Currently, the Government and the São Roque do Pico Town Hall are conducting a comprehensive survey of the situation.

The Government is monitoring the situation on the site and providing support to the affected families.

Technicians from the Regional Civil Engineering Laboratory were deployed to the site, where they are currently monitoring the evolution of the situation in that area.
