The new Administration Board of SATA will take office next Monday.
Chaired by António Luís Teixeira Gusmão, the Administration Board also includes Ana Maria da Silva Azevedo and Vítor Manuel de Jesus Francisco Costa as members.
Ana Azevedo has an in-depth knowledge on Grupo SATA, having performed several positions within the group companies over the years.
She headed the Island Services and the Regional Aerodrome of São Jorge Island in 1990. In the same year, she began working as senior commercial aviation technician at the company's headquarters. From 2002 to 2005, she headed the Planning and Management Services and led the group's Planning and Exploration Services between 2006 and 2013.She also served as adviser to the Administration Board from 2016 to 2017.
She has attended more than twenty specific training courses on civil aviation, including the Airline Management course (Cranfield University) and the Airport Operations Course (ANA). Furthermore, she has training on aviation legislation (Absant Consult), "air transport"(Airbus) and "flight planning" (Airbus), revenue management (IATA) and network and fleet planning (IATA).
In 1985, he took the "basic leadership course" at TAP and the "leadership development course" at the same company in the following year.
Ana Azevedo holds a degree in Public Relations and Communication from the University of the Azores and a MBA from the same University, in addition to a Specialisation in Air Transport Operations from ISEC - Coimbra Institute of Engineering.
Vítor Costa holds a degree in Business Management and Public Administration from the Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the Technical University of Lisbon, with a specialisation in human resources management.
As a senior technician, he joined Grupo EDA in 1991, having served as director of Information and Communication Systems until 2015. He also held the positions of the Director of Internal Audits (2015-2017) and Director of Procurement (2006-2015).
He has attended several training courses, including the "Advanced Management Programme for Executives" from Católica Lisbon Business and Economics School and the "Intensive Practical Course on Internal Auditing" from IPAI-Portuguese Institute of Internal Auditing.
The new Administration Board of Grupo SATA is chaired by António Luís Teixeira Gusmão, who graduated in Business Organisation and Management at the University of the Azores.
With extensive experience in private business management and human resource training, António Teixeira Gusmão has been Executive Officer at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ponta Delgada and manager of EDA, where he held several managing positions within the company's subsidiaries, namely GlobalEda, Sogeo, Segma, Geoterceira and EEC.
António Gusmão Teixeira began his career as a lecturer at the Department of Economics and Business Management of the University of the Azores. He was also a member of the team led by EDA in the privatisation process of ELECTRA, SA, a company dedicated to the production, transport, distribution and marketing of energy and water in Cape Verde.
