The Autonomous Region of the Azores will appoint Francisco Gil e Luís Parreirão for the Administration Board of SATA at the General Assembly.
The appointment of the new members by the Government of the Azores follows the departure of Vítor Fraga and Rui Quadros from the Administration Board.
Francisco Gil will be the administrator for the commercial area of Grupo SATA. He has a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from IST (School of Engineering) and currently holds the position of Executive Director of the Azores Tourism Association.
Francisco Gil has also held the positions of administrator of NGV Promoção Imobiliária S.A.; General Director of Aldeiaisilha Promoção Imobiliária S.A.; Senior Consultant at Leadership Business Consulting (Portugal); Consultant and Team Leader of Motorola Portugal; Consultant at Oniway Infocomunicações Portugal, NORTEL NETWORKS (Switzerland - Spain) and ERICSSON España, S.A.; Planning Engineer at Optimus Telecomunicações S.A.
Luís Parreirão, lawyer, holds as a degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and will be the administrator for the operational area of Grupo SATA. He has extensive experience in business management, particularly in operational areas. He has held the positions of President and CEO of the Administration Board of Mota-Engil, Indústria e Inovação, S.A.; President and CEO of the Administration Board of Mota-Engil - Transport Concession, Holdings; President of the Administration Board and Executive Administrator of Aenor, Lusoscut; President and CEO of ASCENDI, Transport Concession, Holdings, among other positions.
Luís Parreirão also served as Deputy Secretary of State, Secretary of State of Public Works and of Internal Administration. He currently holds the position of business consultant for companies in the process of internationalisation.
