The Regional Government has determined the end of the energy crisis on the islands of Flores and Corvo as regards the supply of diesel.
The Order 1593/2019 of October 3, amended by Order 1757/2019 of October 31, which declared the situation of energy crisis on the islands of Flores and Corvo, will be updated and republished soon in the Official Journal.
The amendment, which takes effect as of today, determines the end of the energy crisis on Flores and Corvo regarding the supply of road diesel as well as dyed and marked diesel used in agriculture and fisheries.
The decision arises from the fact that it was already possible to supply the island of Flores with 363 thousand litres of diesel. Currently, this island now has a current stock of 600 thousand litres.
The supply operation began on Monday afternoon and ended on Wednesday afternoon. It was only possible due to intervention of the tug "Pêro de Teive," owned by the public company Portos dos Açores, which assisted the vessel "São Jorge," transferring the fuel to the island in an exceptional operation.
The situation of energy crisis remains only for petrol.
