The Regional Secretary for Science, Technology and Infrastructures said yesterday that "technology increasingly requires skilled resources in the context of the new challenges and opportunities resulting from projects developed in emerging areas."
José Contente spoke at the opening of the technical session - Practical Information on Infrastructures for telecommunications in buildings (ITED), Infrastructures for telecommunications in urban developments (ITUR); Optical Fibre and Digital Terrestrial Television.
"At a time when the Regional Government becomes a partner of the initial momentum of research, development and innovation projects in business context, success will be accomplished with skilled labour and a change of mentality that should be present in the everyday life of companies and the technicians and researchers who will support them," added the government official.
