Tourist offices to provide service for "registration and handling of claims" announced Vítor Fraga
The tourist offices in the archipelago will now provide a service for the "registration and handling of claims," announced the Regional Secretariat for Tourism and Transport today.
Speaking at the opening of the Sea Tourist Office, installed at Caloura Port by Lagoa City Hall, Vítor Fraga stressed that this new service to be provided to all users of regional tourist offices, whether they are run by the Regional Government or by municipal authorities. It aims to develop a process of "continuous improvement so that we may render a service of excellence to all those who visit us."
The Regional Secretary reminded that the quality certification process of all tourist offices is currently ongoing. The challenge concerns the "integration of these offices, under the administration of municipal authorities, and other offices run by village councils into a broader network that meets the stipulated quality criteria for regional tourist offices."
In his speech, Vítor Fraga pointed out that we are living "a new era in the tourism sector," emphasising that "the quality and demand in terms of the information provided to visitors is something we must always bear in mind."
Alluding to the Tourist Office opened today, Vítor Fraga stated that "these structures are essential" to the provision of "quality and accurate information, but also to the "promotion of the island and the Region" among visitors.
