The Regional Secretary for Tourism and Transport announced on Monday that the Government of the Azores will renew and improve Corvo Aerodrome Terminal, taking into account the recommendations issued by the National Civil Aviation Institute (INAC) on the safety of the operating conditions of that infrastructure.
After visiting the premises, Vítor Fraga revealed that an investment of 30 thousand Euros will be made "to comply with the recommendations issued by INAC in order to ensure greater safety and improve the operating conditions of the terminal.
This intervention consists in the separation of the spaces between arrivals and departures in addition to the creation of a specific area for the screening of baggage.
The Secretary also revealed that the works have a completion period of 60 days; they are expected to start in the beginning of April and should be completed in the early summer.
This intervention is intended to comply with the recommendations issued by INAC, ensuring a good quality of the service provided to passengers.
