Created by the Ministry of Economy and Employment, the National Crafts Award is a biennial initiative that has been held since 1987. This event aims to distinguish Portuguese artisans by highlighting their technical and professional skills as well as their aesthetic skills. The Crafts Award is also intended to acknowledge the social and cultural value of all artisans.
