The Regional Centre for Handicrafts (CRAA) has been intensively promoting the renewal of the image of handicraft fairs which are now designated as M.ART – Regional Handicraft Exhibition. This is a marketing strategy to assert the identity of the Centre.
As evidenced at the M.ART and at the “Lar, Campo e Mar” Fair, held during the Holy Christ of Miracles festivities, the CRAA has renewed its image by associating craft activities to different colours, which allows to highlight the presence of artisans.
Book editions and merchandising products are being made available to the public with the purpose of promoting a wider dissemination of the artisans’ work.
Another handicraft fair, designated as Summer BAZART, opened to the public on the past weekend at “Portas do Mar” in Ponta Delgada.
This exhibition also features a new image as well as more a more dynamic space since it is divided into two periods, each with its group of artisans.
The event, which counts on the participation of 15 artisans, will be held until September 18. The fair will be open to the public from Friday to Sunday between 5 PM and 12 AM.
